Master Bow Maker
She qualified as a bow maker at the prestigious school of Cremona, southern Lombardy, birthplace of the great Stradivarius and Guarneri families.
Her bows are played by outstanding soloists from around the world, as well as by countless professionals and advanced students, including Pinchas Zukerman, Ashan Pillai, Josep Colomé and Ana Carla Maza.
Mercè solé
MASTER Luthier
She qualified as a luthier at the prestigious school of Cremona, southern Lombardy, birthplace of the great Stradivarius and Guarneri families. She continued her training with the distinguished Japanese luthier Tsuguo Toyoshima in Japan, Stephen Hansen in Hamburg and Torbjörn Zethelius in Stockholm.
She is the author of the book «A. Stradivarius 1711, Ex-Vogelweight«. She has restored instruments for important collections, and as a maker she crafts violins, violas and cellos on commission.
